Getting Prescreened at Wise Path

A member of Wise Path Recovery Center’s admissions team will conduct a pre-screen interview to help assess your treatment needs and get you the most appropriate level of care. Our Admissions team will always treat you with the upmost respect, and all conversations held are confidential. They will help determine which treatment options are best for you based on your  prescreen interview. Should the interview require services that are not offered by WPRC, a caring staff member will connect you with an appropriate provider in your area. Prescreens can occur over the phone or in person.

You may be asked some or all of the following:

N

Current diagnosis and overall health status, including symptoms, behaviors, and mental state

N

Details about previous instances of treatment for SUD

N

Family history of mental health or substance use disorders

N

Current thought patterns and behaviors

N

Questions or concerns you may have about the program

N

Any immediate risk of harm to self or others

Comprehensive Assessment

Upon completing your pre-screen interview and determining that Wise Path is a good fit for you, you will go through a comprehensive assessment with a clinician. We use this method to fully understand your health needs, which will influence your individualized and evidence-based treatment plan.

You and the clinician will discuss: your goals, motivations, and expectations for treatment; medical, mental health, substance use, economic, legal and employment histories; and what your individualized treatment plan will entail.
